💿 We’ve done it!!!💿

This weekend we completed recording our latest album, with ten songs which will be ready for release soon. It was a memorable weekend of collaboration, thanks to our Musical Director, recording team, and dedicated choir.

Since 2012, Jay Marsh and Ben Cartwright have worked as a musical and audio engineering team across the UK’s music and events sectors. Their collaborative portfolio covers a broad range of styles, from pop song writing for B*Witched to producing string arrangements for Britain’s Got Talent.

Technical background

The duo’s technical approach is informed by Ben’s studies in Music and Sound Recording at the University of Surrey. During his time there, he focused on classical and choral recordings in both studio and location settings. He has since integrated those traditional techniques into their work in the pop and commercial world, prioritising clarity and natural acoustics.

Collaborative projects

In 2023, Jay and Ben worked with the Met Police Choir on their Christmas album, producing the backing tracks used during the choir's recording sessions at Abbey Road Studios.

They are pleased to be collaborating with the choir once again for their latest project. While their previous work took place in a studio environment, this session sees them recording the choir in their home at Holy Sepulchre Church, capturing the specific character of this historic space.
